Mei Swartz
Research Intern
Mei Swartz is currently a Junior at New York University majoring in Applied Psychology. She became interested in adoption research when she created a short documentary interviewing Chinese adoptees about their experiences growing up in the United States. Along with Dr. Iris Ponte and Dr. Leslie Wang, Mei is working on the Chinese Birth Parent Search Study. She assists in collecting and analyzing qualitative interview data that focus on the process of searching for birth parents; the experience of making and sustaining contact with birth families, and the outcomes of such contact for internationally adopted Chinese children.
